A well-rested Cardiff City Ladies face Billericay Town Women at home in a battle at the bottom of the league. Club Captain Cori Williams recognises the difficult fixture ahead calling it “fight”.

After almost three weeks without a game the Dragons will be hoping to bounce back from the 3-0 loss against Rugby Borough away in January.

We know what we did wrong and what we did better. A couple of weeks off have given us an opportunity to rectify the things we did do wrong and hopefully make them better come Sunday.

We know where we are in the league, and we know we have to pick up points. These next two games home and away are massive for us and the girls are excited for what it is, it’s a fight. I think that’s what as a team and a club we’ve got a lot of. The fight is there and we’re ready to go and stand up tall.

Two new faces will be a part of the squad with Bristol City and Wales under 19’s star Tianna Teisar and returnee Lailah Muscat signing in the last few weeks.Along with new signings, crucial members of the squad have recently returned from injury including Emily Richards who had a brief cameo against Rugby Borough.

We’ve been hit with a lot of injuries but we’ve got a big squad so we can’t really use it as an excuse. But to get people back fit is always good and we’ve brought new people in. A Couple of new faces in on Sunday and it’ll be exciting to see what they do for us.

Billericay sit in 8th place in the FAWNL Southern division, two places and three points ahead of City. A win would boost the team level on points but not goal difference with a game in hand over the Blues.

We know what they are good at. Obviously playing them before we know their strengths, so we are going to go and try nullify what they are good at while continuing to do what we are good at.

“To get two decent results in the next two games will give us a little boost to kick us on for the rest of the season.
