“We’re looking forward to putting things right.”

Caitlin Williams ahead of a visit to MK Dons Women

Cardiff City Ladies travel to the Stadium MK on Sunday looking to “put things right” after their loss away to Oxford last Sunday. Caitlin Williams looks ahead to a big match against MK Dons Women.

“I believe we’re all really excited for the game on Sunday.” She said.

“We’ve had a strong week in training along with really good preparation.”

“We know it’s going to be a challenge but I think we’re all excited.”

The Dragons lost 1 – 0 last Sunday as Zoe Barrett’s penalty dampened their momentum.

“After Oxford we were all disappointed.” Said Williams.

“We’ve all reflected.”

“We’re looking forward to putting things right that, I suppose, weren’t so right last Sunday.”

The Dons came to Ocean Park in October and beat Cardiff City Ladies 2 – 0 but Williams believes that circumstances will be different this time around.

“The last time we played them we were in a different situation to what we are in now.”

“We’ve all grown massively as a group since then.”

“It will be a nice reflection of how far we’ve come.” She said.

Dragons boss Fern Burrage-Male recently won February Manager of the Month. Caitlin is pleased that her team and the manager’s hard work is paying off.

“We’re massively proud of Fern.” She said.

“To go from potentially the relegation zone to guaranteed safety is a massive achievement for everyone in the club.”

“That’s a testament to Fern and the work that she’s put in over the last couple of months that she’s been in charge.”
